some of my Plumdrop post here. I have been more active on that site than this one but hopefully that will change.
There are just so many hours in a day though and sometimes it is just really hard to stay on top of everything. I am attempting to get more traffic to my selling sites. I need to make a little money.
When you are old and no source of income- except Social Security and the money you make selling your crafts, it gets pretty hard. Times are bad for everyone. I realize that.
I just keep plugging along and am managing to "stay a float" so to say.
Gotta get up from here and do supper for my son- he is coming to eat with us tonoct. It is worth all the trouble cooking a meal, to know I will be getting a great big hug from him when he gets here.
Write more another time.
Bye for now.

er 25, 2008 1:01 PM What a day!
I have had a stressful day. I raise Registered Dachshunds and I became a new mother tonoct.
I want you to know, I sat with her all day-Sunday with my hand on her stomach. Was up at 3 P.M. on Monday mng.
to check on her. I lay on the couch in the most uncomfortable position, so I could place my hand on her stomach.
Then danged- if she didn't wait till today to have those babies. Needless to say, I took her back to her crib on
Monday morning about 7. I have run my legs off to be there and keep the kennel warm and check on her since then.
She had 5 of the sweetest babies I have seen -(since my last litter). I have never seen a Dachshund that wasn't adorable.
I have 2 more that are ready to deliver in the next few weeks. Winter is not the ideal time to be having babies- but I
will take care of them when they come. It is just a relief to know it is over for this one.
My sweet grand-daughter got in from college tonoct safely, for the holidays. That just makes for a perfect day.
My grandson and his sister will be in tomorrow- all the family will be here for Thanksgiving. I feel so blessed.
Speaking of blessed, I wish all of you who read my blog the very best of the holiday season.

Okay, I'm kinda old-and my feet stay cold all the time (especially at noct when I am setting and watching nitetime T.V.)
I found some old electric blankets- that were really popular back in the 50's, at a auction a few weeks ago.
I checked them and amazingly, they still worked. So a light went off in my head (no more cold feet!)
I folded it into 4ths. making sure the control was at the top, and on the Left side (this works for my situation)
I then carefully stitched all the top pieces together, then very carefully (making sure not to nick the wires),
I stitched all along the bottom and up the one side where it was needed. That made a really neat place to stick feet-
all the way up to the thigh area, in a nice, cozy, toast warm , top and bottom cocoon type envelope.
I share this with you- because if you are old, like me, and have the same problems- go to a auction and buy
a old electric blanket and treat yourself to warmth and comfort. I'm making one now for my younger sister,
who says has the same problem.
Does anyone ever read and post on these blogs? I vowed to try to keep mine up daily. I just want someone to read it.
Have a great day!

Hey- aven't been here in a while
Just thought I would give this another try. I feel like I am writing to myself, but maybe not.
I'm a crafts person. I create "handmade/handcrafted" items. I feel our artist and craftsmen don't get the
respect and consideration we deserve. There are a lot of us out there, working diligently to produce unique, quality, items
and they are overlooked.
To lots of people crafts are perceived as cheap, made from recycled material, crap.
Well, that is not the case 9 times out of 10. Professional Crafters, are people who take pride in the things they produce.
Especially if they are trying to sell their item to the public.
We have no selling venues- the only "handcrafted/handmade" site I am aware of at this is Etsy. (If you know of others- I sure
would like to know about them.)
Etsy is drowning in the quantities of shops listed. There needs to be other places so the one that is available isn't so
bombarded-that the sellers get lost, and never seen.
Let's work on promoting "handcrafted/handmade" items.
If you are with me- please write in my blog. The more we shout about the situation, the more we stand a chance of being heard.
